Judi Desiderio
Chief Executive Officer Licensed Real Estate Broker"As a real estate professional in the Hamptons for over three decades I've seen enormous change. Change in the real estate industry and change to the landscape," says Judi Desiderio, CEO and President of Town & Country Real Estate, an independent real estate firm with eight offices throughout the Hamptons and across the North Fork of eastern Long Island, New York. "It is said 'the only thing constant is change' and that's certainly true with real estate here on the East End."
Judi Desiderio opened Town & Country Real Estate in 2005 followed by one of the worst bear markets the Hamptons and North Fork had ever seen. She concedes her brainchild "may have been a bit bold in such challenging times. But the real estate people I have known are true entrepreneurs. They think outside the box. So, with entrepreneurs in mind, combined with my love and knowledge of real estate, I set my sails."
Throughout her successful real estate career Judi brokered over a thousand transactions including commercial, bulk acreage, investment properties, vacation homes, and primary dwellings. Personally, Judi has subdivided land, developed properties on speculation, and built homes. In addition, Judi sold and leased several of her own commercial real estate projects. This vast experience enables her to be a tremendous resource for her clientele. Her network of buyers and sellers is incomparable. Judi is pleased to admit that at this point in her career nearly 100% of her business is either repeat or referral.
A further component of this successful career as a licensed real estate Broker was when Judi became a partner at the former Cook Pony Farm Real Estate agency. During her time there Judi and her partners grew the company to ten offices and quadrupled the number of associates.
Judi earned her undergraduate degree from Cortland State and her Master's degree from Adelphi University. Being a teacher by education, Judi enjoys advancing even the most seasoned broker and grooming managers and administrators to reach their full potential.
Together with her husband John Tracy, a second-generation New York City firefighter, Judi enjoys every aspect of East End living. With their sons, Drew and Jack, they spend their leisure time boating and simply taking in what Judi refers to as the "Norman Rockwell painting we call home."
"One thing I absolutely love about this business," says Judi, "is no two days are ever the same. It's never boring!"
