Hamptons real estate agent Jody Heneveld has lived full time in the Hamptons since 1984, and enjoyed wonderful summers as a child living on a boat in beautiful and eclectic Montauk. Jody built her family home in Northwest Woods, East Hampton and raised her three sons where they were all enthusiastic members of the local community - quarterbacking the East Hampton football team, playing lacrosse, and lifeguarding at the ocean beaches. Jody's 2 oldest sons are both graduates of the Naval Academy, Annapolis MD. Her oldest son Heath, a Lieutenant, is proudly serving in Naval Special Operations and her son Austin, a Lieutenant Junior Grade, is in Naval Helicopter Pilot stationed in Jacksonville. Her youngest son, Cortland, is a current Midshipman at the Naval Academy, class of 2018.
As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Jody was the Director of Learning and Health Services for the Ross School, East Hampton, for 17 years. Prior to Ross School Jody was the Coordinator of Children's Services at the local Domestic Violence Agency, The Retreat, Inc. With over 25 years of experience in social work and administration, Jody has a firm commitment to outstanding customer service, prompt consistent communication, strong attention to detail, and exceptional creativity. Jody epitomizes integrity and hard work in every aspect of her work.
An avid animal lover, Jody is presently training a new English Cream Golden Retriever, Surf, to be a therapy dog for the Southampton Rehabilitation Center, as well as a comfort for victims of domestic violence. Jody also loves to travel, especially visiting her sons, and working on building a vacation dream home on Cat Island in the Bahamas. When not working you can find Jody enjoying golf on the many scenic courses in the Hamptons, hitting a few tennis balls, working on her yoga and everything water.
